FEHR EHI Export Documentation

Overview

EHI Export functionality allows health systems to do a manual one-time export of health data for one or more patients. This scheme is intended for EHI export functionality.

The EHI export contains the electronic health information available in a patient’s FEHR record in a computable, JSON file format native to FEHR. Refer to the Model Definitions for more information about the data included in the export. EHI in the form of images or rich text documents may not be available in a JSON format. This information might be referenced from the Model Definitions, but the actual files can be reviewed in a separate, additional export.

The export EHI content is subject to variation and change based on many factors, including: 1) the ecosystem of software applications in use when the files were generated, 2) the software version in use at the time the files were generated, 3) the specific use practices surrounding documentation and software that were in place at the time the files were generated, 4) the unique configuration of the software application ecosystem at the time the files were generated.
